American Standard PW Bender

American Standard Tele's usually take a back seat on forums and especially when it comes to B Benders... but I recently installed a short throw PW style Bender on a 90's American Standard and it couldn't have come out more perfect. Some pix to share

Very nice! How did you handle the saddle/bridge? Is the saddle adjustment screw (intonation) offset?

Thanks all! Yes these saddles all had the offset screws so it was a slam dunk for the Bender install. I merely drilled a small hole in the rear edge of the bridge and created a slot on the back edge of the B saddle itself. What's interesting is that I noticed no saddle squeaking or the need for lubrication. Not sure if this is a permanent trait of this sort of saddle though. This install was for a friend who is real excited to be in Bender world. He's happily now re-producing Mike Campbell's Mudcrutch bender licks, while before he was wondering "How'd he do that? ;-)

Great work Brian..... ya know you're addicted to these things when the back of the guitar becomes more interesting than the front.

My wife was looking over my shoulder. She said you need to quit fooling around with your guitars and mow the lawn. She says that to me all the time...

Seriously..looks like beautiful work, Brian...and Dogbear...you're right!..

Thats what she was referring to..your lawn

And she won't buy that "it's a special ground covering and is supposed to look like that..." bit..I tried that already...

I noticed the position of the saddles..were there intonation issues with that guitar?...I dont think I ever had that amount of variation on any six saddle guitar...
