Timmy tip

I get asked this q alot and it's probably been discussed before,,,,,.

Question: What to do about the squeeks/noise you get from the strings on the saddles when bending?

Answer: I've tried all types of greases, oils etc... for me, I've found that just using your average ordinary everday #2 pencil works. I write on the saddles where the strings ride and..... that's it.

Okay,,, I've done my good deed for the day. Time to go and be bad again lol.

Yeah, but if you write that small, no wonder you keep getting asked the question....

I already do that at the nut. When I finally get myself a bender, I'll have to write on the saddles, too.

I use Teflon lube, but if I start to get a squeak at a gig and don't have any handy, I also use a pencil - and I've used them on nuts for decades!

That's GUITAR nuts you perverts!

I'd like to try that but my penmanship is so bad it's embarrassing!

Perhaps a small mirror would help?
