Fender started the B-Bender with an Alder body, and now it's Poplar.
When did the change happen?
Also any opinions of tonal difference on the guitar?

Poplar okay to refinish?

I believe that some of them also came with an ash body..A friend of mine has one that definetly is ash. A 96'..

I have a 98 with poplar. i think fender always used poplar i the "nashville special b-bender".
