Finally Making the Switch

Our Rock n Roll service is making the switch from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00. This will be a big change for the church, and has sadly caused some friction. Honestly I'm a bit nervous.

First week will be some familiar tunes to the congregation.

Come Now is the Time to Worship
Open the Eyes of My Heart
God of Wonders(City on a Hill)
To a Thousand Generations(Billy Somerville)
People Get Ready (ala Ziggy Marley)
How Great Is Our God(Tomlin)
Cry Holy (Sonic Flood)
Amazing Grace(Blues/Shuffle)

I switch back and forth between my tele and les paul during the service, depending on the song and sound we need.

My current set-up is generally something like this......

guitar---->tube screamer---->mxr distortion+---->digitech rp80----
---->ernie ball volume pedal---Fender Princeton 112+ w/footswitch(switching between clean and effects channel)or Twin Reverb

Thanks,
Scott

thats a good change...Rock musicians aren't supposed to wake up before 10 am.

thats pretty close to the songlist we have at our church. I like to make them as mellow and beautiful as possible, while everyone else (Church band) wants them to sound like Van Halen or the Ramones. I'm gettin' old I guess.

I believe there's only Good music & bad music.
