Pots for a split rail humbucker on a tele?

OK tech question. I have just bought a GFS lil hot puncher pickup 13.6 K and 250K push pull pot to run it as both a humbucker and a single coil. So, I've just realized that maybe I should have bought 500K pot?

Probably so, but now you have the advantage of seeing the difference.

Hook it up with the 250K pot then get a 500K and swap it out.

I have a 500k pot with mine but use a seperate rocker switch for the tap.

I really like those pickups. Ive used them on several Frankencasters including my #1 player right now.

Same ol' rule of thumb: 500k brighter, 250k darker.
