Separate forum for homemade/amateur builds ?

I don't know if this has been discussed before but what about dedicating a new forum for the homemade Tele's. More and more people are building guitars and their threads are sometimes lost in the flow of the main forum. I just want to have some feedback on that idea.

Agreed, I think it would be really nice (and informative) to have all of the guitar build/mod threads in one place.

It has not only been discussed, but a poll was taken not 6 months ago and while there was a good deal of support for this idea, there was a majority against the idea.

I've not decided one way or the other on this at this time. But we have a very large number of members that want no other forums created at all. And, many that also do not want builds moved out of the main forum.

What if the old build threads were archived in one place so they could be easily found... :confused:

+1...although I am thinking that would be quite demanding.

Just had an idea: how about a single, stickied thread where builders can post links to their builds?
