OK so I went our and spent the $40 for the bad monkey after listening to the Boss stuff, Electro Harmonix etc. The price was nice it comes with the battery and it's built like a tank.
I also have and use the Boss compressor. My question is when hooking these guys up which goes first? My guitar plugs into which first and that output plugs into ?
I just tried them out and in the short time I had I couldn't really tell.
Any help would be great,
Thanks

Most folks seem to go with guitar > comp > OD > amp.
However, try it both ways and use whichever you like best. Experimentation is half the fun.

Experiment and see which you like best. In my setup for some reason the more unconventional guitar-od-comp-amp gives a fuller tone. It may also depend on the particular compressor you're using. I use an old DOD milkbox (which I absolutely love!).

Sure, try it both ways. Doesn't cost a thing and easy to do. I much prefer my compressor before any dirt but after the wah.

BM before comp: the BM will still react to your picking dynamics (meaning, you can play cleaner by hitting the strings softer, etc.), the comp will then add compression and level out the volume.
Comp before BM: your picking dynamics will be evened out, the BM will be hit with a higher level, and will overdrive a bit more, provinding a more singing tone.
