And it was a bargain for just 200 bucks.

It needs new strings and a little clean up, the flatwound strings it currently has are ancient, probably just as old as the bass itself.

Sweet!

I had a really, really fine 1987-ish MIJ Jazz Bass that I bought new back then, but being young and dumb, I couldn't get past the "MIJ" part and sold it because it "wasn't a real Fender".

I often wonder how someone that dumb survived into middle age!!!

Cheers, Tim

Nice score! That's the one to carry if you get an audition for a Velvet Revolver Tribute band!

Heh, I don't need to get a Duff McKagan signature anymore with this one.

Heh, I'll be the first to admit that being an old GNR fan, Duff was one of the reasons for me to buy this bass in the first place. But I have the intention of using it as my studio bass. I needed a dependable workhouse four string to compliment my Custom Jan Knooren five string and this Fender fits the bill nicely.
