I think that membership just keeps compounding and the huge masses really don't know what a Tele is... the younger one-year pickers looking for a home? I haven't enjoyed this site as much lately. The builds are fairly interesting for tech info, but that's begining to take over.

What about Telecasters? Fender would be cool!

Where do you see the NOT Tele posts? In Bad dog, or other areas? I see the Telecaster Discussion prety well regulated to tele discussions. Sorry if the quality of the content is not quite up to par, but for the price I certainly get a TON of great input, ideas and reading.

It's called the Bad Dog Cafe, and it's specifically for non Tele talk. Besides, there's nothing wrong with stepping outside the boundaries once in a while.

Ebb and flow that's what a web community is all about. In the past 9 years the discussion of Telecasters comes and goes. Hey, guess what? So does the popularity of guitars, music, and even Telecasters.

No one, no matter how hard they try, can make the TDPRI other than what it is. There are some guys here that own a Tele, play a Tele even, but they've decided to cherish the friendship of the place and discuss their lives here. Rarely mentioning their Telecaster.

There are others that fume and fuss and cuss for every post that isn't 1000% Tele-centric (except when they post a non-Tele post, that is).

Wishing and hoping are fine, but beyond that????

That is a very good point! I'm Not as much of a starter as a responder, but point taken!
The issue I have is on the General Discussion Page. There is the latest post about Heavy Metal Tele's that actually arent anything like that, but that is just one of the several posts recently that have nothing to do with Tele's, Fender, Leo, Music Man, G&L... I just wanted to check and see if I was off.

Do you spend a lot of time on the "Today on TDPRI" page?
If you do you are going to run into all different kinds of topics. Maybe the best thing to do is go directly to the tele, tech, pup's pages, etc.

All I can afford is the one Tele I have and I've discussed about all I can about it. It's great discussing everything else with the people here though.

I play a Telecaster every day, it takes those off-topic blues away! :lol:
