my Fiesta baby

I hadn't played this gem in a while, my loss for that.
she's a killer - also my fave rosewood board Strat, FWIW.

I bought her from GC so of course I had to fight tooth & nail
for them to include the proper ****ing case, and of course
they didn't have the paperwork either so I have no idea
when she was made.. but, what a guitar!

it's my Fender CS '60 Relic Strat in Fiesta Red, serial #R1049

I see absolutely no need to upgrade a single thing, she's perfect
as is: plays like a hot knife going through butter & she sings like
a siren; luring lonely sailors to their doom!!

There is alot of case candy you should have received some of which is very important like the COA.

You should have got the COA a 5 posirion switch to replace the 3 way a vintage strap a guitar cable 2 extra tremelo springs a polish cloth some spray mist to clean it with and a few hang tags and owners manual.

I looked at the SB version of this guitar at GC, but as in your instance, and due to no fault on the GC guy on hand to make the deal, all the stuff was un-accounted for. Ditto on the NOS Nocaster I did buy - all the stuff was AWOL.
for $ 1,470 I won't complain.

I like the red far more than the kinda bland SB of the CS '60, but the neck was the real chiller; too thin for my taste. Very tempting tho.

yah I know about the missing case candy - but for the dosh she was marked
down to, I just had to get her OUT the door A-SAP!!

I consider myself lucky to have got a brown Tolex CS Fender case instead
of whatever they drag out.. this is a huge problem with GC in general, and
there's not a lot to be done about it unless one is one or both the following:

a) a well-informed consumer
b) most insistent on the matter at hand

when I bought my CS Nocaster from Guitar Galleria, I got the extra switch,
the bag with the cord & polishing cloth & stuff, the extra case, and the COA.
and the strap.

at GC they'd probably have tried to give me just the molded plastic case
and that'd be it.

I also got the COA with the CS '56 Relic Strat that I bought from GC (plus
all of the case candy) but that was, uhh, a "new" Relic!

I think, technically speaking, my Fiesta Baby was "used" so that's why
they didn't have any of the stuff.. it could have been an employee "hold"
put back into stock, or a return as well? I don't know, I don't care, she's
all mine! and that's what matters.

Very sweet and Fiesta Red is one of my favorite Fender colors. Of course, I'd like it even better without the relic-ing damage but if that's what trips your trigger....

That's probably my favourite strat look, along with 50's two-color sb. What a stunning guitar, just gorgeous, enjoy it!
