s-1 ???

Ive got a 62 ri and a baja with s-1.. Question is i took both and made 1.. I put the 62 neck on baja body kept the 62 pup's but wired them into the s-1 control plate.. The baja pup' had three wires on the neck the 62 didnt it seems to work just fine in all positions do i need to ground the cover on the 62's neck pup or is that only required on the other style pup??
