Tell me what the tonal differences are in totally subjective terms.

A 5F2 has a choke in it's filtering the 5F2-A doesn't (just filter caps).

Generally in Class AB amps a choke can effect sag. In SE or Class A amps sag is a non-issue. If there are any differences, it may be in the bass response/tightness.
