Palomino V8 built overseas - any good?

I've heard some bad things about the Palomino's built overseas. I've got the USA made Crate 30 watter and it is a great amp. I've heard some great things about the V8 and I'd like to get one for a home practice amp but I'm hesitant to buy one if the one's made overseas are crappy. From what I've heard they are no longer manufacturing in the USA. Anyone have any experience with the overseas models?
