Ohms, splitters, and such...

If I wanted to split the output of a tube amp that has a 16 ohm output jack...would that then bring the ohm load to 8 ohms? I mean by taking a mono signal, splitting it to two cabs...not in series, but parallel.

If the two speakers are 16 ohms each, yes that is correct.
