just traded my dr. Z carmen ghia for an engl...

and I couldn't be happier. The Dr. Z was great for recording but unsuitable for the diverse range of music that I play, and just wasn't loud enough and only cut through when i put it through a 2x12.

the amp i traded it for is an engl classic 50 combo. these have been discontinued now, but basically sounds like a warmer and fatter fender twin with a great drive channel too.

Oh, and i got £200 as well as part of the exchange :lol:

I'm really happy about this, I guess it is kinda a sin because dr. zs are like the holy grail of affordable amps, but I am really happy with the swap.
