Anyone have a Dallas Rangemaster? Probably not many around i know. How about clones like Diaz or Homebrew Germania? Anything come close to the original but operate a bit quieter (and cheaper :) )? Thanks.

Wayne Alexander November 7th, 2003, 09:11 PM Don Butler makes one that's identical to the original in sound but with a couple upgrades if you want them (9V adaptor jack, full-range vs treble eq). http://www.tone-man.com Not cheap, and noise is inherent in the design. genelovesjez November 9th, 2003, 07:07 PM Isn't there a Germania in the garage sale? (no affiliation to seller) The Gainster November 18th, 2003, 12:46 PM Look into the Addrock Boostmaster. Full and treble boost. Very well built and sounds great. I also have the Electric Smile. :) The Gainster November 19th, 2003, 12:32 AM Here's the link. http://www.addrock.com/ I have one and I love it. I also have the Electric Smile. :) I made 4 clips of the Boostmaster today. First time thru is just amp... second time thru is with pedal. Full and treble boost. On the third page of my briefcase. :) http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/thegainster/lst?.dir=/My+Documents&.view=l RKeeley November 19th, 2003, 12:02 PM There are several (many) clips on the keeley site, plus it is tweakable so you can get as much range out of it as you could desire. If this is spam, by all means delete it please. just wanted to point out that it is tweakable in a nearly infinite way. Thanks folks The Gainster November 19th, 2003, 03:27 PM Which one is your Clone? I have and use your comp. and if the Boost is anywhere near as good........... 8) |
