I have been hungering for one of these for quite a few moon's now. I picked up one up from a fellow TB'er. Got a set of GHS Flats on order and a few heavy picks on hand. I am really looking forward to boogie-ing with this bass. She is a beaut for sure. Nice tone with it's humbuckers close to the neck. No zingy treble stuff here, just big low down grooves. Yea!

oh cool! I was a big Gov't Mule fan so I always wondered about that bass. I'll be interested to hear how you like it.

My next band gig is in a couple of weeks. I'll play it then and give a mini-review afterwards.

It is easy on the eyes with it's wine red finish and gold hardware. Nothing cheap about it except for the small electronics, but they work fine for now.

Yea, Allen Woody was a monster on bass with Mule and the Brothers. I really dug his style.

Those are nice....not the greatest on balance, but sound like liquid thunder. http://www.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=264 Hipshot even makes a bridge for them

The bass doesn't have a bad tone, to my ears.

As far as it's hardware, it is fine the way it is, nice quality stuff here.

I don't find the bass to be unbalanced at all with it's short scale neck and my leather strap.

That thing looks just plain HOT. I'd love to get my hands on one -- congratulations!

Rehearsed today with an acoustic blues shuffle band and played the 'Kat. Palm muted and played with the thumb or plucked upright style up the neck, this bass put's it out smooth, big and deep. It fit's in nice with the Dobros and parlor guitars. Schweet! I am looking forward to coffee shop gigs with it.

I'd say the Rumblekat's tone is somewhere between a violin bass and a standard solidbody bass with the GHS flats I have on it now. Probably closer to the hollow body tone but not as thuddy as a Hofner.

Just thought I would pass on this mini-review to anyone that is interested in one of these fine basses.
