Danny Gatton's Bass! Wow!

Just found this on the Danny Gatton website:

Aparently it was:

Built specifically for Danny. '54 Contour body, '59 Jazz Bass stacked pots, and the last '51 Fender P-bass reissue neck. More of these basses were built, but without the '51 necks.

Anyone have anymore info or other pictures? It looks fantastic!

Looks like a great excuse to build another bass......

I've seen a Custom Shop version just like that. Never tried one and HC didn't seem to have great reviews of it. Looks cool though.

I hate to be a contrarian, but I don't dig it. It's to "in-between" for me, neither a P-J nor a '51 P. Too busy looking, I guess.

But then again, I didn't order it, DG did!
