Fell Back In love w/my 83

I always thought my "83" Am Stndr. strat was inferior due to the lack of the dual tone controls and the input jack where the lower tone control would be. It was my #1 ax in the mid 80's but fell out of favor by the late 80's. About a year ago I put inexpensive overwound clearence pups from Guitarfetish in it. Just lately I've been playing it and really like the tone and feel. I think maybe I've overlooked a very well made nice playing guitar for the last decade and a half.
