4 way hum

I haved wired a 4way into the tele following this diagram,and i,m getting a hum in the second and 4th position.There is not a front pickup cover so thats not a problem.any thoughts. it does go away as i touch the tele,so it must be a ground porblem.

This is the only way I've ever seen a 4-way wired, though it goes:

1. Bridge
2. Bridge + Neck (parallel)
3. Neck
4. Bridge + Neck (Series)

I don't know whats going on.I put in the Bill lawrence pickups with the standard 3 way and no 60 cycle hum.Now with 4 way i'm getting hum on the bridge and neck position but alls quiet on the modded connections.i even tried two different wiring setups and rechecked all of it.it's not real bad,but sure isn't like it was.here is the one i just used.
