Hello
I recently got this pedal.
I noticed that the highs are missing when I plug it in.
Is the pot it self at fault ?
Or do I need to place a 0.001 up and 150 k resistor to preserve the high end.
Has anyone compared this pedal to any other volume pedal?

I just saw a video on Larry Carlton's site that explains his pedalboard setup and it made mention of the fact that the Sho-Bud pedals are made to roll off the highs as the volume goes up. Larry had Alexander Dumble build a circuit board in the pedal to eliminate the problem for him. I doubt if any of us here would get Dumble to do that for us though.
Go here and click on the pedalboardsection:

That being said, you could probably experiment and find a way to fix it as well if you're electronically inclined.
I don't have that issue with the Dunlop Volume Pedal I'm using.

Hey,
I just got a Sho Bud volume pedal that needs repair - trouble
is I can't seem to find anyone who knows a lot about them.
I need the string that turns the volume control and a link
to ind a circuit diagram 'cause I did't really know how to
install the 'fix'.
I moved to Paris, France a few years back and don't get back to the States a lot.
No one over here's even heard of Sho Bud - so not much help
here.
I'd appreciate any help and/or pointers I can get!
Thanks guys

Hi there, I'm sorta in the same boat (repairing a Sho Bud) just a casing and pot at present - working out how the string is set up and probably going to have to have the collar engineered for me.
Here are my findings so far:
