I'm looking for a decent drum machine to make some recordings. Not interesting in electronic sounds. Any advice?

i've been using the Boss DR-770 for years ... easy to learn on the fly, but deep-featured if you wanna dig a little. excellent manual, so if you buy used, make sure it's included.

I've got an old Yamaha one that I've had for easily 8 years. I love it. Standalone drum machines are handy.
I recently went looking for a new one, more features etc. and found that the answer for me was Sony ACID music studio software and some good loop/drum samples.
Sony acidmusic studio is like 70 bucks and can turn your pc (I use an old laptop for this) into a sweet drum machine.
Check acidplanet.com for info.
