I've decided I may have a go at going the true-bypass route with my pedals, but I have some questions. I know I can do a mod on my Crybaby and I'm pretty sure it's possible on my DS-1, and there's no way I'm cracking open the Whammy 'cause I'm scared. How about my Boss CH-1 and DD-6? I'm not even sure I'm going to do the mod (I want to test them alone, see if they contribute to tone-suck), I just want to know if it's possible. Also, can anyone recommend any instructions/diagrams for me to follow? Also, will I need more than a little solder-gun practice before I do this?

the whammy would probably be the easiest one to do, since it's such a tone sucker and so many people mod them up. a simple google search for "true bypass crybaby":
nifty diagram! (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/s.castledine/greenfuz/effects/tb3a.png)

I'm pretty sure you meant "Cryababy" where you put "whammy"?
And many thanks for the diagram.

Why not just get a true bypass looper box for the pedals that would be hard to mod, they are cheap, also good for vintage pedals that you shouldn't mod as it ruins their resale value.

That sounds good, and I thought about it, but I ran into a problem. I figure it'll work fine with the pedals I just click on and off, but what about the Wah and Whammy? Wouldn't it be a pain in the butt to click a button over here then swing my foot to the rocker pedal over there?

+100 on that! Mod the wah and Whammy and go to a looper for all the rest!
I have one on my board and it eliminates ALL issues of tone suckage and impedance loss. It also consolidates all switching to one box eliminating the "stompbox two step" you wind up doing with multiple effects.
