Ever heard of Quincy speakers ?macheesmo3 August 19th, 2007, 10:21 PM Well , got some info on TGP about the speaker in my Lectrolab amp . Apparently it is a Quincy speaker made in either 1955 or 1965 ( my guess is '65 ) . Has anyone heard of Quincy speakers ? Got any info about them ? Tim 6942 August 21st, 2007, 05:53 PM I have a 12", 8 ohm Quincy Alnico speaker at home ( I think 1956?). It's in a DIY open-backed cab powered by an EV Jr. head amp...nice sound! Mine came out of an old organ. Quincy had a speaker plant in Quincy, Ill. Quincy was a sub-division of a much larger speaker company....but I forgot who? Steve |
