Seymour Duncan questionkyle1167 July 24th, 2007, 05:07 AM Does anyone know if any of the after market pickup covers will fit on Seymour Duncan strat pickups? dmt101proof July 24th, 2007, 06:17 AM I used Fender covers on the SD alnico IIs and Twangbanger that I retrofitted to my MusicMan Silhouette. They fitted without any problem. boris bubbanov July 24th, 2007, 07:38 PM Ditto, Kyle. I just swapped two Allparts Fender strat pup covers that had been on Fender strat pups onto neck and middle SSL-1s from Seymour Duncan that just went into my MIM Nashville. Perfect fit. It is these goldarned asian polepiece spaced Squier pups for which no ready replacement covers can be found. I guess the good thing is in knowing if your pickup is Fender, DiMarzio, SD, or any one of the boo-teek strat pup builders out there, the covers readily available will fit your guitar. Just not my Squier. Bubbanov BTW, for those with asian strat pickups, needing correct spaced pole piece openings in a different color, or more of them, I gather you can take a mustang/ duosonic pup cover, with no holes, and custom drill you own holes to match the narrower pole pieces. An existing correct asian strat pup cover would be mandatory as a pattern, I bleev. Pete Galati July 24th, 2007, 08:32 PM I got some Duncan nickel/silver PU cover from Specialty Guitars. They fit just fine on Duncan and Gibson humbuckers. I think they were something like $12 each. |
