What exactly is David saying in the intro to 'Almost Cut My Hair'; I'm talking about the about seven spoken words apparently ending in "area", I think.

Much Obliged

He said:

"Any liver donors live in my area?"

"I shall now proceed to entangle the entire area."

Glad to help!

Not that David always made sense, but that has to be right, it is perfect, Tim.
Thank you so much, could not get that phrase to turn; It had been stuck in my craw for a least a week.

Much obliged

Now, do the 10cc guys say 'be poised and quiet' or 'big boys don't cry'?
Airplanes, Racing Cars, Live Music and Power Tools. A bad combination.

Croz is brilliant.

Love CSN&Y.

CPR is a great band also. Jeff Pevar is a great guitar player.

Naw, I don't listen to him. All he writes are pop songs that appeal to girls.

'big boys don't cry'?

From "I'm Not In Love" yes?
You have it right...see above. From the album, (remember those?), Un Nuit A Paris, AKA One Night In Paris.
My signature is from that album, the song: "Life is a Minestrone".
My buddies and myself to this day still say McCartney and 10cc were in a league of their own for concerts...and we saw a few around the LA Land area growing up.

As an aside...10cc had a lot of musicianship and I think that, maybe, the whole was bigger than the parts.
At one point on the song "Wall Street Shuffle" Eric Stewart and Godley Creme (?) were wailing on two pianos set up side by side on the front of the stage. When the music transitioned back to guitar, Stewart jumped up on a piano and leaped off while hitting the guitar chord that played so prominently in that song during the piano break. So dramatic. From building up of the pianos to breaking the tension with that guitar...pretty good showmanship.
Me thinks you have good taste Boris!

DC may be my favorite harmony singer of all time. After he left the Byrds, their older material sounded somehow naked without his parts. Not to knock McGuinn or anything, but Crosby brought an extra dimension to those tunes.

The first time i saw CSNY live at Winterland (1970), his version of "Guinevere" brought tears to my eyes.

Our son bought us tickets to see Crosby, Stills, and Nash in Eugene in September. It was wonderful, like a trip back in time. Never saw so much long gray hair in my life! Caught a few whiffs of an old familiar smell, too (probably some of the kids in the crowd.)

"Traction in the Rain"

Yup, most of his songs were about sex, and people just didn't realize it---they were clueless about the lyrics in Song Without Words too...and then there was that elephant.

Wonderful voice.
He and his partners in C,S,N, & Y were so tonally compatible.
I heard those songs when I was 12, and I'll never forget them.

Takes David & Graham about 1:40 to actually get to the song, but it's worth sitting through the talk for the performance:
