Friend of mine who is an intern at umgd reccommended this guy and I finally checked out his work, it's pretty dope. He's a funk artist from Chile. Be sure to check out chocolate, it has that classic funk sound from the 80s that we all know and love. Well since I like the song chocolate I am trying to replay it, so can someone help me out and tell me what chords are being used in the main guitar melody? Thanks

Try something like Am-Em7-Dm7
---8=8------7=7------5=5---
---8h10-----7h8------5h6---
---8h9------7=7------5=5---
---8h10-----7h9------5h7---
---x--------7=7------5=5---
---x--------x--------x-----
It sounds like the guitarist is barring the 8th fret and hammering on those middle notes on that first chord, and this is repeated for the m7 chords as well.

same kind of post over at another board i frequent...this person doesn't want to know the chords, they're advertising for this Funky C fool.

Dang, thanks for point that out jazztele. I feel a little suckered, except that song was way too easy to figure out. At least I didn't compliment the song.
However, it did take up 3-4 minutes of my life. Now I wish the thread would magically disappear.

ah, don't feel so bad, the only reason i knew is because i got suckered the first time i saw it.
luckily, i thought the track was boring, and i won't be telling all my friends about Funky C, and his "80's funk sound we all love..."
