62 reissue necks and American series Strats

Something I know you folks can help me with. Will a used '62 re-issue neck fit into the neck pocket of an American Series Strat? Are necks and neck pockets generally uniform across the board as far as where the bolt together? I want to swap my AS maple neck for a rosewood one (preferebly '62) and want to avoid having drill holes that don't match-up. Thanks in advance..Doug

The American STD has a micro-tilt feature the 62 vintage doesnt so it would fit but you might not get a real good neck to body mate cause of the metal parts in there.
