Hi,

The content here looks good. Can anybody tell me if you get the tabs and/or printed material if you do the TrueFire University membership vs. buy a specific product? The Rhythmic Grooves and Twang U CD products look good, but so might the monthly membership if I know I could get those along with the other content.

Any comments on this site, membership or their mail order products would be appreciated because it looks like there is much good content there.

Thank you.

WJL

I bought the "CAGED Unmasked" CD set and got a lot out of it. I've downloaded other courses from them, too. It's a great resource.

I've downloaded some individual lessons and they were pretty decent. Don't know & can't comment on the CD sets, but I've read elsewhere on this site that the Twang U course is very good.

Thanks for the replies.

I bought the Rhythmic Grooves product ala carte during the 50% off sale that has ended. It was not certain that the monthly subscription would get the same sort of access to the lessons, and the samples made it look like that was a particularly good product.

I also got a few of the low cost (free through a few bucks) lessons too. One from Arlen Roth is a bit of a disappointment in that the chord diagram graphics from its original source are missing and I actually had to look that up with other sources. That lesson is still alright in that it did include a nice base for chord and arpeggio based melody.

All in all I would say the site is a good resource, and if I get just a portion of the content in the Rhythmic Grooves I will be happy because it just where I want to concentrate right now.

Thanks again, and don't hesitate for those curious about the site.

A couple years ago, I picked up the "TWANG U" CD set during the "Egg Hunt" half-price sale (they do similar sales on most major holiday weekends). I'll give it a double-thumbs-up!!! Loads of licks from various artists....Jim Campilongo, Steve Trovato. The Hellecasters, etc. In small, easy to digest lessons taught by Jesse Gress is the entire Dannny Gatton song "Harlem Nocturne".

FWIW: It does not appear they ship with the speed of most on-line stores. I got an email 6 days after the purchase saying they're working this weekend hoping to have orders shipped by Wed. My purchase was for the Rhythmic Grooves as mentioned on other posts.

I am looking forward to it based on the sample videos.
