So I got a little CYA on the back of my neck. Not too much but enough to feel. The lacquer is pretty thick but I do like it. I'm not very optimistic that there is but is there anyway to remove this short of sanding? 3M scotchbrite pads?

Short for Cyanoacrylate.
From the "Wik" -
Cyanoacrylate is the generic name for substances such as methyl-2-cyanoacrylate, which is typically sold under trademarks like Superglue and Krazy Glue
Also, when using it around guitars you sometimes need to Cover Your Ash bodies so it doesn't mess up the finish.
