GFS Straplock

I know GFS used to have Dunlop style locks, but these have been sold out for a long time now. Today they seem to have finally replaced them with a new type, and it looks promising. Can anyone attest to the quality of their other ones? I like how the button is bigger too. Any idea as to what the "reach under" release mechanism is though? it's hard to tell from the pics. Have any other companies had a design similar to this that you guys know of and can comment on?

I need straplocks anyway so I think I might get these when I'm reunited with my electric :roll:

Just get a set of Schaller straplocks. I've had them for over 10 years and they have ever once let me down.

Looks to me like the Marvel strap lock system which costs even less (8.99 everywhere).

Another - lets say, "strange" - GFS product description ("newly redesigned" / "new patented design" etc.).
Wow - and for the higher price you even get "the entire installation kit" :roll:

^^^that they do. As for the price difference, I could only find them a few other places and its marginal. The descriptions do go overboard from time to time.

I suppose my next question is, does anyone have any experience with Marvel straplocks? If you have seen them, how exactly do they work? they seem well built and sturdy so i'll probably try them out anyway.
