Hwy 1/ Texas Tele truss rod question

Fenders specs say the truss rod adjustment is at the heel, but the close up pics I have seen show an open hole at the headstock where you normally see the the darker plug.

Is this hole a dummy just for aesthetics, or have I always had my nomenclature messed up?

Where are you reading that the adjustment is at the heel. I'm not familiar with the Highway One but I don't see the truss rod adjustment location in any Fender guitar specs.

Jack,

If you go to the Fender site and open up the section on the Hwy 1 Texas Telelcaster, right under the small marketing text it lists several links to click on. The first one is "Specifications". It opens up a little pop-up with the specs. At the bottom under unique features it list 4 items, the last of which is "truss rod adjustment at heel". But all the pics I can find anywhere all show the open hole just above the nut.

Ah ............ I see what you mean. I've looked at the Fender website pictures of the Highway One and the Highway One Texas. The Highway One looks like it has the truss rod adjustment at the headstock. This headstock picture of the Highway One Texas taken from the Fender website looks like it has a solid plug.

I own a Fender Highway 1 Texas Tele.
The Truss rod adjustment is at the headstock.
