So if you were stranded on a island with an electrical outlet and a single tube amp what one pedal would you absolutely need to have with you (assuming you needed ANY pedal)?

Deserted Island Pedal?GUITARmole March 26th, 2007, 09:17 PM So if you were stranded on a island with an electrical outlet and a single tube amp what one pedal would you absolutely need to have with you (assuming you needed ANY pedal)? aznrambo481 March 26th, 2007, 09:27 PM are you kidding? I live in an apartment, gimme a huge amp, lemme crank it all the way up and hear the cracks as the tubes break up over the ocean, man that would be pure bliss. Cold prolly use a bit of reverb though... :-) Scatterbrain March 26th, 2007, 09:37 PM An echo pedal so I can get that rockabilly slapback! klasaine March 26th, 2007, 09:46 PM Which ever one comes with a live, naked girl attached to it. usc96 March 26th, 2007, 10:35 PM Tuner. hayseedtele March 26th, 2007, 10:45 PM the only pedal i use wit my rig is a dd3 but my ac30 has tremelo and reverb. maybe one of those mod4 echoes by line 6 so i could have some cool options. bassbuster33 March 26th, 2007, 10:49 PM I am going to cheat and pick a Digitech RP350:) Acephspades March 26th, 2007, 10:55 PM Well I almost said an overdrive pedal of some sort but since this is a desserted island and a tube amp I could crank this puppy with out torking off the neighbors. Still I might need an overdrive pedal just to get more of a gain boost for those times I am feeling "randy". Sure AC/DC tone is nice sometimes but sometimes that isn't enough gain. All in all though I would probably keep the amp turned down to clean because that's my style 99% of the time, in which case a delay pedal would be my main choice. GUITARmole March 26th, 2007, 11:34 PM So it sounds like Delay/Echo is the top choice followed by overdrive of some sort? I guess what I was looking for was something more specific like "I couldn't live without my " XXXXX " pedal". The naked girl pedal could be useful regardless of whether you were on an island or not  Oster March 26th, 2007, 11:39 PM MXR Distortion +. Probably the best candidate for knocking coconuts down from the trees too! Built like a tank. Bill March 27th, 2007, 12:39 AM Blackstone Appliances Mosfet Overdrive. Nick Fanis March 27th, 2007, 02:22 AM http://guitare.playback-europe.com/produits/VOX/images/tonelabse_2.jpg well after all it still falls under the "single pedal" category... SixStringSlinger March 27th, 2007, 07:12 AM If I can crank the tube amp without killing myself, then my Crybaby Wah. Veitchy March 27th, 2007, 08:04 AM a wah, since i can get real distortion by cranking it. desert island+no neighbours. teledude66 March 27th, 2007, 08:07 AM Proco RAT... rowdy27 March 27th, 2007, 08:17 AM Boss Metal Zone Sarge March 28th, 2007, 07:54 AM I'd have to keep my sanity...so I'd take my modded Boss BD-2 (Blues Driver) pedal. gerryhoban March 28th, 2007, 08:06 AM one that runs on batteries. I was going to suggest a naked girl with perfect pitch, but then she'll nag at you whenever you screw up a bend.
