I bought a used one on a whim a few years ago for $20. Like you siad, I was very impressed. I did not care for the 'hot' side of things, but for low gain, edgy blues tones, it was a real surprise. With the gain set fairly low and running it into my Winfiled 'Elizabeth', I was able to cop some nice Ford/Carlton type tones. I actually prefered the TS-7 ( with my gear ) to a couple of TS-9's I received on trade.
I let it go, but may pick up another if I can find a similar deal! Glad to hear it's working out for ya!
