EV 12S

Hi guys, I've got a Music Man 112 RD50 on the way and it has an electro voice 12S speaker in it. I'm familar with the 12L ev but have never heard a 12S model before. Anyone have any experience and what did you think about it?

Somewhere I have a tech sheet on EV speakers. What I remember is the S and L have different response curves. Otherwise, they're the same. I've not tried an S.

I found some info on the EVM speakers. For those who are interested, the Electro Voice website has an archive for its discontinued products w/specs on all their older models including the 12L and SRO series. I found out my speaker is a EVM 12-S Pro Line. Net weight is 19lbs, 300 watt, 2.5" voice coil and a 4.9 lb magnet especially taylored for a strong mid-range performance. The shallow cone provides additional output in the critical 700 to 3000 Hz range for extra clarity and brillance. Sounds like a real beast eh lol.
