Is anyone else using the podxt live out at shows, and what's your thoughts? My band runs a fairly large sound setup so we have 6 seperate monitor mixes. I use the xt live and my 50's tele, running back at my face through a really hot jbl monitor. I am really pleased with the results and the sound of the xt amp models. I mainly use the dumble clean, or the various fender or matchbox emu's. For the front of house mix we are running 2 jbl dual 18 srx subs and 4 ev dual 12's w/horn cabs with allen and heath 48ch with crest and crown amps.

I use to have a POD 2.1 that I used with the floor pedal. Sound people loved it, but I found it too difficult to work with if I had to make any tonal changes. Plus, I didn't really care for any of the clean tones. I'm sure the XT and other new POD models have better models, but until I can have something that I can change in real time with real ease on the bandstand, I will stay away from them. I do like the idea of all those sounds at my disposal, though.

Scott Peterson (gear page) has a long thread called "My approach to a modeling rig and making it work" that you might find interesting.
