This is my first post.
About 16 years ago I replaced the then anemic stock pickups in my 73 tele with Duncans (alnico pro II in the bridge; vintage rythym at the neck). At the time, my need for a versatile playing guitar outweighed my desire to keep the guitar original. The guitar is still in great shape and otherwise original (ok, I replaced a cracked switch tip). The Duncans have been great, adding depth and warmth to a guitar that was previously one dimensional. Still, I want to take a shot at re-installing the original pickups. Any suggestions for the best shop to use to get the original pickups rewound to add some depth and complexity?
Thanks. I look forward to learning from the other Tele obsessives out there.
