3 position switch

Anyone KNOW if it makes a difference which way it faces BEFORE you wire it up?
It looks to me that the top left lug and the bottom right lug are always connected with the next three lugs switched. So if it were put in backwards, but wired the same will it perform the same?
My 63 from the custom shop schematic shows it in one way but they have it the other way.
