Minwax Paste Wax over top of wipe-on poly (gloss)?

Has anyone tried this? I'm putting some gloss wipe-on poly on the black milk paint finish on my tele, and wondered if anyone had used paste wax over top of wipe-on poly before, particularly gloss. I'm trying to build some depth and patina to the finish, and was hoping the paste wax over the gloss would give it the right look.

Try Briwax: http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?familyid=1635

I buy mine at Woodcraft. You cna get it in colors, like darker colors to really make it look patina'd.

You can also try Butcher's bowling alley wax. Rock friggin hard and also available ina draker color fi I recall correctly.

Minwax is okay, but there are some better one's out there. and any wax over Poly makes it shine nicely. And it'll help keep finger prints off yer wood!

Thanks for the link! I'd be a little concerned that w/ sweat, etc. a darker colored wax, like the ebony, would rub off on clothes, my arm, etc.

I think since I'm using it over Poly, which is a pretty tough finish, the Minwax should do the trick-- besides, I already have a huge can of it. If it'll work well enough for the job (which was my only real question), then use whatcha got, that's what I say!

thanks again for the links though-- may use the Briwax on another project (guitar-related or not).

Cool, I'm all about using whatcha brung. I doubt I would make a special trip out to buy wax if I already had some as well! But if you were going to buy wax, then I thought I might throw out some options.
