Dookychase

I did a search and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I have a standard tele and would like to wire it to get that in between pickup sound like on a srat.
If this is possible, what kind of switch would I need( 4way?) and does anybody have a pictorial schematic for this.
I'm going to guitar center this evening and would pick up a switch if they have it.
Thanks

If you have a standard tele, you already have the 'in-between' sound.. thats what the middle position on your 3-way switch is. Its not going to sound like a strat because the pickups are different.. if you want that sound you have to buy a strat. The closest thing is a Nashville Tele with the strat pickup in the middle position.

Its not going to sound like a strat because the pickups are different..
The reason that it won't quack is not as much because the pickups are different but mostly because they're in a different location.
Although individual pickup strength and height is a factor, the "quack" in positions 2 and 4 produced by a Strat is because the pickups are near each other.
And it was not intentionally done by Fender.
