Fralin Blues vs Donahue bridge pickup in a tele, anyone play both?? What can you tell me about them?

I'm changing from Vintage Noiseless pickups to something? I just picked up a Fralin blues bridge and I'm trying to decide what I want in my other tele?

Thoughts, suggestions, comparisons?

Good question...wondered the same when I recently upgraded. I went with the Donahue with a SD '59 humbucker in the neck. Holds its own with the increased output from the humbucker.

The SD website describes the pickup's tone well. I'm pleased. More mids, more output, still twangy. Sounds GREAT overdriven through my Keeley modded tube screamer.

Merry Christmas.

Like day and night. The JD is smooth and compressed with lots of harmonics. The Fralin BS is sharp, even harsh, with lots of bite. Both emphasize mids and have strong output.
