Got a candy apple red one with a rosewood board off ebay. Its like it was meant to be...they seller lived in the next town away from me (like a 4 minute drive!).

Anyway, used it on a gig Sat night and this thing screams. Its all original with tex mex pickups, which I thought would be crappy, 'cause they don't cost much. Let me tell you, thru my Deluxe they sound amazing. Not thin & plinky like most other strats I've had. Great lead tone on all positions. The middle was pure SRV!

These were made with all USA parts, a 9.5 radius neck, vintage bridge too. Only it was painted in Mexico, and sent back to the US for assembly. They stopped making them 'cause they were outselling the US models!

I want another with a maple neck! Anybody got one?

You're absolutely right !!!! These are sweet guitars.....well made and lots of mojo. The other guitar player in our band has one, almost like a yellow-cream color w/ rsw neck. Nice tones from the pups also.
Sorry, can't help ya' out with the maple neck.

Yep, these are great guitars, and very well made. Mine is stock, blk with a maple board . It's a keeper. Pups are good, better than I expected. Still, I have a set of Fralin Vintage Hots waiting to be installed.

I have a Fiesta Red one with a one-piece maple neck. It's a great guitar. I've tried a few Cali's and there is some variance in neck girth -- mine is a bit fatter than some others I've played.

I bought mine NOS from Buzzo Music in Geneseo, NY. He has another NOS Fiesta Red in stock now, along with a Cali Tele.
