playing around today with the vibrochamp. had my tele going through a holy grail and then a cool cat. took a break, came back and ....nothing. thought it was cables but changing them didn't help. checked and changed the battery in the cool cat thinking they might have gone weak and stopping the signal. turned my reverb off and had sound again. as long as the HG was on...no signal. when i would get something it would sound like a bad connection.
can you burn these things out ?

isolated the reverb pedal.....nothing but static....switched out cables again to rule that out. soooo
just amp...its clean....with chorus...works fine...insert the HG and either nothing.....or just static while its on....hit stomp switch to off....and everything plays through....just no reverb.....
could i have had a chip go bad or something ?
it didn't get bumped or anything...i don't even step on them
i like to keep them eye level and adjust by hand

contact the manufacturer ... these things happen, and they might be able to diagnose it by email, and if not, they may ask you to send it in. a lot of times they'll repair it free (dunno about ElectroHarmonix, though.)

Sounds silly, but check your battery/powersupply. When I was taking electronics engineering courses they always stressed checking the simple stuff first.

Does it run off batteries? If not is the adaptor cable ok.
You mentioned static. Try checking the footswitch. Do you get the dry sound when you bypass it with the footswitch.
Is there a blend control on the Grail? If so turn it to the un verbed position.
This will tell you if it is the Grail delay section or not.
I have a bumch of EH pedals and I don't think there is an original footswitch in any of them.

well..this is for general reference....my holy grail....which doens't run off batteries...is fried apparently.....
emailed electro-harmonix and asked them if they had a return exchange program...to either get this fixed or pay a small price and get a factory reconditioned one sent to me.
they said if i had warranty information and it was within a year, they would replace it. i informed them i had this second hand and had no warranty. they then told me that if i sent them my contact info they would send me what i need to send it to them and they would repair for $15.....i'm sure i will have to pay for shipping but this seems like a pretty good deal for a moderately pricey pedal and having it brought back up to specs by the manufacturer.
just wanted to pass along info
