Hi
I've got my set of BL Keystones and i'm wiring them in but i'm not sure which wiring scheme to use or if any one is better than another.
I'm tending towards the Hardtail scheme or American Std. Mainly for the 5 way switch and the tone control on all 5 positions
Any recommendations or suggestions?
I'm also using 0.1uF cap.
Thanks Cobra

How about doing something along the lines of the Fralin blend pot circuit? It'll give you the tone control on all switch positions.

I connected the tone pot to the center terminal of the volume pot, and left off the treble bleed cap, and also eliminated the blend pot. I used 250K pots. I'm real happy with how it turned out. I used a .047uf cap, but probably should have used something muddier like a .1uf.

The neck blender is my fave for Strats, but you really should replace that 2nd tone pot (used for the neck volume blender) with a 500KA or 1MegA pot. The use of a bleeder cap/resistor across the vol pot's input lug and wiper lug is always optional - I tend to leave it off 'cause I like that drop in treble when the vol is rolled down, that's my "tone pot" ... and I'm into no-load tone pots, too, with a .022uf cap for better range of use with less mud. YMMV.

i went with the American Strat in the end - to start with anyway.
Sounds great.
I've also soldered up a master vol and master tone loom so i will give that a try later.
I've got a fair bit of noise which stops when holod the strings so i'm wondering if i need to shield the cavities or maybe add a body ground?
any suggestions??
