Feed Problem?

Hi there Paul - yes - I'm still around....just not as much. (hope all is well)

I just tried Google's newsreader and linked in the side. The posts list correctly by when you click on them, it says there's an invalid link. From Bloglines, the links seem to work....

Here's an example of a bad target:

Then from Bloglines. (works properly)
http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stomp-box/58187-whats-your-ultimate-pedal-board.html#post585626

Might be something to look into?....or maybe just google buggers?

Good to see you! I'm not sure why this is happening. The link on the first one showing a bad target is really wrong. It appears to not be from the RSS feed. It looks like it is a "newpost" icon link from the forum list.

I'll do some checking and see what I can do.

Lance, I just checked the feed on Google Reader and all was fine there. The links worked as well. I'm not sure why that one link you listed wasn't working.

But I found the links on the Google Reader feed to work just fine today. They do some different things with the feed than other readers do. Which is confusing, but it's working for me today.

It is the differenece in the t=58187 and it's location in the URL that makes it work or not work.

Hmmm.....OK - I re-added the RSS to Google Reader. I used the URL from the FAQ section: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/external.php?type=rss2 (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/../external.php?type=rss2)

The posts show up correctly....but - when I click on a story, I still get that bad target error.

Example: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost=58340 (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/../showthread.php?goto=newpost=58340)

Maybe I'm using the wrong RSS URL?

I didn't even know that the FAQ had a RSS link. That link is definately wrong.

Use the RSS link at the bottom of the whatever forum you want to subscribe to. Simply, go to the forum you wish to subscribe to, scroll down to the bottom of the page and use that link.

Yup! That was it! Wrong URL.
You may want to pull that RSS reference from the FAQ...it's not right.
