Been meaning to do it for a long time.
Ordered loose knobs, control assemblies, wire, jacks & electrosockets from Callaham.
Saddles (brass wide intone) and relic'd knurled knobs from Glendale. Goin' for the double notch bridge plate later when he re-stocks.
Some of those Wilkinson Kluson style tuners from GuitarFetish too.
Plan upgrades on a couple of my Teles and Xmas-present-upgrades for a couple of my buddies (they were nice enough to buy their MIJ Teles from me)
All three sources shipped within a couple of days. Man!......unbelievable.
SOOOO much better than Vin**que

I almost always buy more things than I need. Specially things like pots & switches & caps. Just because of the high probability that one'll be bad, or I mess one up. Not to mention, posible future projects, even if I'm sure I'll never build another one. Which... I won't.

I've got more pots, pickups, caps, tuners, bridges, etc., than I'll use in a lifetime. I'll plan a DIY guitar project, then revise it two or three times. Everytime I revize the plan...you guessed it....different parts. Some of the stuff I sell to friends (Wilkinson E-Z lock tuners). Other stuff I sell on e-bay (Teisco pickups, Kluson tuners, Matchmaker pickups, etc.). One of these days, I'll get and stick with Plan A....before my wife kills me!! Steve

I always order in extras of any hardware that I might need down the road.Especially things like pickup springs and screws, jacks, caps, knobs, etc etc.
And finally after 30+ years of doing this,I got myself nice and organized.I picked up a nice Plano tackle box with the removable drawers.Works great!!!!!
One of the removable tools is full of "essential" guitar tools, and it goes with me in my gig bag whenever I play out.

Phew! Thought I was the only one who stocked up on extra stuff. Glad to see there are others. My house has got necks, bodies, parts, etc. in every room (sometimes in the bathroom, too). Backyard has got half-stripped bodies, parts relicing/rusting and other goings-ons. I may be out of milk, eggs, and beer, but I won't ever be short on strings, tele bridges, strat bridges, pots, or pickguards. My girlfriend thinks I'm a fanatic, but I don't think so, I just like to be prepeared.
