I need some help on this one, thanks jwells393 June 23rd, 2006, 12:17 PM What help do you need?.......... Size? odiemann June 23rd, 2006, 01:00 PM I have a Squier neck and the truss rod nut is stripped. I think I can remove it from the top, correct? Then just replace it. I would need to remove some wood around the nut, right? Hey Jwells, my wife and I are thinking about moving to NM, how do you like it? I lived in Denver for a decade, it's too crowded, and I don't like the weather in Memphis. We both teach, how are the schools there? jwells393 June 23rd, 2006, 01:22 PM My only Squiers are a '51 and some mini Strats. It looks like the truss rod nuts could be removed by just unscrewing them. However, I don't see how a truss rod nut could get stripped. If the nut is turning freely, it sounds more like a broken truss rod to me. About New Mexico .............. great climate. Not too hot .......... not too cold ......... low humidity. Summers days can get up in the 90s but nights are very pleasant....... down to 70............. unlike Phoenix where it can be over 100 at 10:00 PM.......... but don't tell anyone. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/jwells393/Animations/Shhhhhhhh.gif (http://photobucket.com) Don't know a thing about the schools. |
