accidentally hitting 5-way?

It seems as though whenever I play entergetically, I accidentally hit the 5-way switch with my picking hand. Anyone else have this problem?

I did, but switching to a Tele fixed that. :P

Alternately, you could use a pair of pliers to "fold" the switch over a la Danny Gatton.

I know that playing styles and struming habits are hard to break, but try moving slightly below the neck pick up. That way you'd be hard pressed to hit the 5 way. Or just shortening your strumming strokes.

Like Sarge said, I have just overtime adjusted to having my right hand over it, to just below the neck pickup. I never hit the switch anymore. Works for me 8)
