Just Finished My Monte Allums SD-1 808 Mod

Monte says that this just might be the best sounding OD/Distortion at any price anywhere, and at this point I have a hard time disagreeing. I got the SD-1 for 40 bucks and the mod cost me $22. This pedal is unbelievable! It was initially going to be the pedal I use for a little "hair", but it sounds so good at higher gain settings that I'm probably going to use if for that and ditch my RAT and my Keeley DS-1. Now, I still need to find a pedal for a little "hair". Maybe, I do another SD-1 mod, but this time I won't add the 2X gain portion of his mod and I'll do the symmetrical clipping mod instead of sticking with the asmmetrical clipping.
Again, I don't consider this pedal mod to be a good "bang for your buck". I consider this pedal to be one of the best anywhere. It's that good. IMHO, YMMV.
