Anyone else find it difficult? When I'm strumming my hand is going up and down and to switch you gotta go side by side. And it ecspecially difficult when you gotta go from bridge to the neck. Since the switch is almost resting on the volume knob you gotta sorta pinch it out. I'm using strat knobs now which somewhat alleviates the problem, but it still is difficult to do quickly and smoothly. I usually just try and find a setting that'll work for the entire song or switch only when there's a long enough pause. Anyone got a secret to switching? Do you just practice it a lot or do you have a mod to help you out?

I Want You (She's so Heavy) and you can hear Lennon switch to the neck pickup around 2:42 (I think) for the lead.
Do I have any advice...no.
I've been trying to get that down myself.

A couple things to try:
1) If you're not using one already, try the "top hat" style switch tip. It's a little easier to get a finger between the vol. control and the tip.
2) For the same reason, some people bend the switch lever up or down so it's not exactly inline with the volume control.

Thought about the hat. Would get one but don't think I'd do an order just for that. I'd wan't to order along with other stuff.
Forgot about the switch bending. Don't people normally bend them down to avoid struming it? I think bending up would make for easier switching.

You know, I never thought much about it, but I was just playing for a few minutes and tried it out. No problems switching at all. There's over half an inch between the knob and the closest part of the barrel switch tip.
Now, as var as timing goes, well you gotta find a gap in the playing to do that. Usually not a problem for me.
Here's my latest trick for keeping that tip on the switch: fold a small bit of 80-grit sandpaper over the switch and then cram the tip on.
